In a series of photographs taken by David Jay and James Nachtwey, a story much sadder than we ever could have imagined begins to manifest. And while many people continue to beat the drums of war, maybe it is worth paying these photographs a second look.
When speaking about the photographs, Nachtway writes, “I have been a witness, and these pictures are my testimony. The events I have recorded should not be forgotten and must not be repeated.”
